Typically our work together will consist of one longer (60-75 mins) initial session and several shorter (45-55 mins) follow up sessions. Through this process, we will get to know each other better and I will understand your health history, current relationship with food, exercise, and your body, and what areas are of biggest concern to you.
With this information, we can dive deeper to set goals and work towards achieving them. We will continue meeting together on an individualized schedule; I am here to provide support for as long as it is needed! I want to help you minimize the amount of time spent concerned with food and your body, allowing you more energy to focus on the rest of life!
Rates and Insurance
I am in network with Blue Cross of Idaho and PacificSource. Many plans include benefits for nutrition counseling - please use the Insurance Questionnaire to determine your specific coverage. For all other insurances, I am happy to provide a superbill for potential reimbursement by your insurance company.
Accepted forms of payment include check, FSA/HSA and debit/credit cards. All card payments are processed securely through the Practice Better app.
Private Pay Rates: Initial Session: $200 Follow Up Session: $150
I understand that nutrition counseling is a financial commitment and it may not be fully covered by health insurance. If finances are a barrier to seeking help, please reach out. I am able to accommodate some clients with financial need with reduced fees.
What is a weight-neutral approach to nutrition counseling?
Sometimes called a weight-inclusive approach, this simply means we won’t focus on weight loss during sessions together. Weight loss, weight gain, or weight maintenance may happen as a result of behavior change, but weight itself is not a behavior.
Our bodies can be trusted to tell us what they need, and I believe through our work together you can become an intuitive eater.
People can be and are healthy across the size and weight spectrum. I don’t think tracking calories in and out, or eating a micromanaged amount of macronutrients is sustainable or “healthy” for anyone, so this will not be part of our goals or plan. I hope that helps you breathe a little easier!
Think we might be a good fit?
Before we commit to working together, let’s have a (free) 15 minute introductory call to make sure we are on the same page. Please fill out the form at the link below to schedule our conversation.
